Busan to Host Korea’s Largest Streaming Festival This August

The 2025 International Streaming Festival, Korea’s only and largest event dedicated to streaming content, will take place in Busan from August 22 to 25 at the Haeundae Cinema Center and Paradise Hotel.

Co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and Busan City, and organized by the Korea International Streaming Festival and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency, this year marks the festival’s first edition as a fully independent event, separate from the Busan International Film Festival.

Under the theme “KOREA is STREAMING – A World of Endless Imagination and Infinite Streaming”, the festival will bring together over 300 Korean and international streaming companies and expects to attract around 100,000 visitors.

Highlights over the four-day festival include:

The Global OTT Awards (August 24 at 6:30 PM, Busan Cinema Center outdoor theater)

Premieres and showcase events for new global and Korean series

Fan talks, live stage greetings, and OST concerts

Investment forums, brand days, and pop-up exhibitions

Content from OTT platforms, FAST channels, tech innovations, short-form creators, e-sports, and more

More than 20 new films and streaming titles will debut during the event, offering fans and industry professionals a rare look into the future of global streaming entertainment, all from Busan.

The event has previously been part of the Busan International Film Festival.
