The 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), set to run from September 17 to September 26, has revealed its official poster, an artistic tribute to the festival’s 30-year journey.
The poster captures BIFF’s enduring legacy with a powerful visual: the festival’s iconic emblem engraved in vibrant red sand, symbolizing memories, passion, and permanence. A bold, hand-drawn “30” sweeps across the canvas in a single fluid brushstroke, visually retracing the steps of the festival’s storied evolution.
Designed by Choi Soon-dae, BIFF’s Art Director, the poster blends modern design sensibilities with traditional calligraphic elegance, representing both the festival’s rich history and its forward-looking vision.
This year’s BIFF will once again spotlight global cinema with screenings, events, and celebrations at the Busan Cinema Center and venues across the city.
