OK Savings Bank Men’s Volleyball Team Confirm Relocation to Busan for 2025–2026 Season

Busan has officially secured its own men’s professional volleyball team. On June 24, the Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) approved the relocation of the OK Savings Bank men’s volleyball team to Busan, marking a major milestone in the city’s rise as a comprehensive professional sports hub.

Starting with the 2025–2026 season, the team will be based at the Gangseo Sports Park indoor stadium, making it the first men’s professional volleyball team in the Yeongnam region.

Busan will now host all four major professional sports—baseball, soccer, basketball, and volleyball—joining Seoul, Incheon, and Suwon as one of Korea’s top-tier sports cities.

The OK team, which debuted in the 2013–2014 season, has already made a name for itself, securing runner-up positions in three championship finals, including the 2023–2024 season.

With the appointment of coach Shin Young-cheol and the signing of star player Jeon Gwang-in, the team is seen as a strong contender for the upcoming season.

With 13 youth volleyball teams and a strong fan base in the city, Busan sees this move as a catalyst for growing the sport and enhancing local sports infrastructure.

The city also plans to work with the team on talent development, fan engagement programs, and facility improvements.
