As summer sets in, G-Valley Industrial Museum invites visitors to pause from the bustle of daily life with its special exhibition, “A Breath of Blue”, running from July 18 to October 18.
This exhibition explores how Korean workers found rest and leisure during the country’s rapid industrialization from the 1970s to 1990s. Visitors can immerse themselves in a calming museum space filled with visual art, ambient sounds, and reflective installations.
The exhibition features three themed sections, ranging from historic labor conditions to modern interpretations of rest. Highlights include interactive sound installations, video works, and a nostalgic look at past vacation traditions.
Complementing the exhibit are hands-on programs like tea ceremonies, knitting, resin art, and terrarium-making, designed for both workers and weekend visitors.
Admission and programs are free, with the museum open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
