Tongyeong City has completed the forest park development project within Yi Sun-sin Park, using funding from a provincial support initiative.
The project aimed to create a nature-friendly healing space that offers rest, wellness, and emotional comfort to both residents and visitors.
As part of the transformation, approximately 152,000 Chrysanthemums chinensis were planted, and a hydrangea path was added along the main walking trail.
The Hydrangea Path features vibrant blooms from spring through summer, while the 4,000㎡ chrysanthemum colony presents a striking white landscape in autumn.
The walking route is equipped with seating and rest areas, enhancing accessibility and comfort for parkgoers.
This initiative not only enriches the ecological and scenic qualities of Yi Sun-sin Park but also complements its historical significance.
The newly developed forest park is expected to become a signature leisure and healing destination in Tongyeong.
