    Easy and quick Korean expressions!

    -부자

부자 means ‘a rich person’. However, 부자 is often used as a suffix after a noun (A) to make a compound noun (B). This noun (B) is a kind of slang, meaning ‘a person who has a lot of “noun(A)”‘.

    ex)

저는 아들부자입니다. (I have many sons.)

너는 걱정부자구나. (You worry so much.)

그는 땅부자야. (He owns a lot of land.)

    * 부자 also sometimes means ‘a father and his son’. 부 means ‘a father’, 모 ‘a mother’, 자 ‘a son’ or ‘a male’, and 녀 means ‘a daughter’ or ‘a female’.

    ex)

부자가 똑같이 걷는다. (He and his son walk alike.)

모녀가 다 미인이네요. (Both you and your daughter are beautiful.)
