Call-Based ‘Tabara’ Transit Expands to Haeundae’s Songjeong Area with New Stops and Increased Accessibility

Busan’s demand-responsive transportation service ‘Tabara’, known for operating on user calls rather than fixed schedules, has expanded into the Songjeong-dong area of Haeundae-gu.

Three new stops—Songjeong Station, Songjeong Beach, and Gwangeogol—were recently added to improve convenience for residents and tourists, especially in areas with limited public transport options.

Tabara uses AI to determine optimal shared routes when passengers have similar destinations and operates at a fare of 1,550 won.

The latest expansion, tied to Busan’s big data-driven bus route reorganization, increases total stops from 18 to 21 and buses from 5 to 9, enhancing service capacity for up to 15 passengers per ride.
