때리다 [ ttaerida ] as a slang
때리다 usually means ‘to hit’, ‘to beat’ or ‘to strike’ something.
However, 때리다 is often used as slang, to say ‘to do’ or ‘to have/drink’ something in a cool way between friends.
ex)
소주 한 잔 때리자. (Let’s have some soju.)
공부 좀 때리고 전화할게. (I will call you after some studying.)
멍 때리다가 잠들었어. (I fell asleep after I zoned out for a while.) (멍: a dull state without any focus in your brain and eyes)
