Busan is offering a specialized wellness tourism program this autumn, designed to help visitors relax and rejuvenate in the city’s tranquil settings.
In collaboration with the Busan Tourism Organization, the city will run the ‘Healing Day in Busan’ program until November 24, offering discounted access to wellness experiences across Busan’s top wellness destinations.
The program will take place at six wellness hotspots, including Gwangalli SUP Zone, Naewonjeongsa Temple, Ahopsan Forest, and Hongbeopsa Temple. Visitors can enjoy a range of wellness activities at over 50% off, with both same-day and stay options available.
The stay program offers three themed experiences: city stay, featuring yoga and medical tourism in Seomyeon; ocean stay, focusing on marine wellness at Gwangalli SUP Zone and the luxurious Club Dioasis; and temple stay, a peaceful retreat at Hongbeopsa Temple, home to the largest sitting Buddha statue in Korea. For same-day visitors, programs such as Nordic Walking in Ahopsan Forest and immune therapy at Club Dioasis are available.
In addition to wellness tourism, Busan’s hotel industry is enhancing its wellness offerings. Wyndham Grand Busan now features a Wellness Club, boasting an indoor swimming pool, seawater sauna, and fitness center with premium equipment from ‘Technogym’.
Signiel Busan recently opened the ‘Retreat Signiel’ spa, following the success of its Seoul counterpart, offering luxurious spa experiences with suite stay packages.
Busan’s focus on wellness tourism continues to expand, with more destinations and activities planned to attract both domestic and international visitors.
