Sixth ‘Seven Beach Earthing Challenge’ Set for June 14 at Ilgwang Beach

The sixth round of the Seven Beach Earthing Challenge will take place at Ilgwang Beach on Saturday at 3 p.m., as part of its barefoot walking campaign promoting wellness through nature.

Around 2,000 citizens are expected to participate in the event, which includes stretching sessions, guided walking courses, and barefoot beach walking known as “earthing”, a health practice that involves direct contact with the ground to absorb the Earth’s natural energy.

The 1.2-kilometer round-trip walking course at Ilgwang Beach will offer various themed sections such as “Be Healthy,” “Don’t Rush,” and “Overcome Difficulties.”

Highlights include acupressure plate walking and a limbo obstacle zone designed to enhance physical engagement.

Participants can register for free through the official event website (earthing.busan.com) on a first-come, first-served basis. On-site amenities will include wellness checkup booths and free giveaways such as bottled water, shoe bags, and badges.

This event follows previous challenges held at Haeundae, Gwangalli, Dadaepo, Songjeong, and Imrang beaches.

The final round is scheduled to take place later this year at Songdo Beach.
