Busan’s Barefoot Walking City Movement, known as Barefoot Busan, is set to host the final event of its Seven Beach Earthing Challenge on November 9 at Songjeong Beach.
This year-round initiative encourages health and wellness through barefoot walking across seven beaches in Busan, with previous events held at Haeundae, Gwangalli, and Dadaepo beaches.
Participants at Songjeong Beach will enjoy a flexible experience, able to arrive anytime between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to complete a 2 km barefoot walk along the sandy coast.
The event includes a warm-up stretch session, music performances, and complimentary souvenirs such as bags, badges, and bottles of water.
Lucky attendees can also win prizes like a Yacht Tada boarding pass, luxury hotel stays, health check-ups, and other gifts through a raffle.
The challenge is open to the first 5,000 applicants who register online through the official event site at earthing.busan.com.
After Songjeong Beach, the Seven Beach Earthing Challenge will resume next spring at Songdo, Ilgwang, and Imrang beaches, bringing the barefoot walking experience to more of Busan’s scenic coastlines.
