Busan Tube, the official YouTube channel of Busan City, has won the Grand Prize in the metropolitan government category at the 2025 Social Eye Awards.
Recognized for its innovative approach to civic communication, the channel has moved beyond traditional policy announcements by creating citizen-centered content, including interviews with policy beneficiaries, community art projects, and cultural videos that reflect Busan’s local identity.
Musical projects like “Busan is Good” and “Let’s Go to Busan” featured lyrics and performances by residents, enhancing engagement and civic pride.
The channel also utilizes AI to streamline production of short-form videos explaining complex policies, increasing accessibility while reducing costs.
Busan plans to build on this recognition by expanding its interactive content with vlog-style stories, policy interviews, and citizen-driven initiatives.
Officials emphasized that Busan Tube will continue to serve as a platform for two-way communication, bridging the gap between government policy and everyday civic life.
