South Korea has welcomed a growing influx of Muslim tourists and business travelers in recent years and the government, along with the private sector, has moved to provide more and more dining options for Muslim visitors to the country.
The City of Busan recently released their list of Muslim-friendly restaurants to make it easier for visitors to have an enjoyable dining experience. Determining whether a restaurant is Muslim-friendly or Halal Certified is based on the following criteria:
Having lived here in Busan for a little over two years, I have a few recommendations of my own that I would also like to share along with the complete list from the city.

Morocco Casablanca
If you are a big fan of lamb, you should go to Morocco Casablanca Restaurant. With two locations in the area, one near the mosque at Dusil station and another in Gimhae, they serve authentic delicious Moroccan cuisine that is sure to please.
While they are well known for their Dimlama (Moroccan stew), Tajine and Tahini, which are all good, I am a big fan of the lamb Samosa.

Cappadocia Turkish Kebap House
If you are looking for a good halal certified place to eat, then Cappadocia Turkish Kebap House is a solid choice. It’s a fantastic little restaurant located next to the Busan Mosque, which is also in Dusil.
They offer a wide variety of halal cuisine such as kebabs, yahni and lavash. They also offer Muslim-friendly Korean dishes which are popular with muslim tourists and local residents. The restaurant is family-owned and the staff speaks both Korean and Turkish.

Samarkand Restaurant
This has been one of my favorite places to go since I moved to Busan. The restaurant is famous for serving their customers hearty meals loaded with meat and veggies and is popular among the Arabic, Russian and Uzbek population residing in Busan.
You can also enjoy the Central Asian atmosphere with traditional clothes and dishes displayed there.
