Busan Museum and Japan’s Tsushima Museum officially signed a Friendship and Exchange Agreement, marking a major milestone in cultural cooperation between Korea and Japan.
This agreement formalizes a relationship that has already been fostered through years of informal cooperation, such as exhibition visits and academic interactions.
Now, with official recognition, both museums will pursue a more systematic and long-term partnership focused on cultural preservation, academic research, and artistic collaboration.
Under the terms of the agreement, the two institutions will work closely together to share exhibition materials and archival data, co-organize research and excavations, and promote exchanges between staff and researchers.
Joint exhibitions and projects will aim to enhance the quality and reach of both museums’ offerings, while mutual access to research findings will contribute to deeper academic dialogue.
Additionally, the agreement places strong emphasis on strengthening professional networks through active personnel exchange, aiming to build expertise and foster leadership within both institutions.
The Busan Museum anticipates that this partnership will expand its global presence and provide new opportunities for international cooperation.
