The city of Busan will hold a summer exhibition under the theme ‘Brilliant Blue Wave’ at City Hall through August.
The event features digital media art displays and book curation exhibitions designed to evoke seasonal emotion through visuals and literature.
The building’s Media Wall will showcase 12 video art pieces, including the featured work “Light Wave,” which portrays soft, glowing waves symbolic of the emotions people carry. Other notable pieces include “Speed of Light” and “Moon Floating Ocean,” each capturing the intensity and tranquility of natural light phenomena.
Additionally, in collaboration with the Busan Museum of Art, the digital media art festival Loop Lab Busan will display eight works by domestic and international artists such as Syriak Harris and Emanuela Cavu. These pieces reinterpret digital imagery into looping visual narratives, now viewable in public space without needing to enter a museum.
Alongside the visual displays, a curated book exhibit is underway at City Hall’s 3rd-floor Open Library. Centered on the summer theme, titles span genres such as literature, travel, environmental studies, and marine ecology.
A selection of 20 books includes children’s titles like “Into the Depths of the Sea” and adult non-fiction like “The Sea Loved by the Painter.”
