A groundbreaking ceremony took place on June 30 at 4 pm in Joa-dong, Haeundae-gu, launching the construction of the “Dream Sharing Center,” a cultural and activity complex for children and youth.
Selected through the 15-Minute City Policy Contest, the project aims to provide educational, cultural, and recreational spaces within walking distance for local residents.
The six-story building (with one underground level) will be built on a 1,340.1㎡ site, with a total floor area of 3,855.2㎡. The project is scheduled for completion by December 2026 with a total budget of 19 billion won, including city, district, and national funding.
Key facilities include an ICT sports zone, dance practice room, book café, club room, and a multipurpose auditorium.
The center is designed to serve youth in Jwa-dong, U-dong, Jung-dong, and Songjeong-dong, where cultural and educational resources are currently limited despite a high youth population.
The city expects the Dream Sharing Center to foster community engagement among youth, families, and neighbors, while enhancing access to creative, educational, and community-driven programs tailored for future generations.
