Prosecutors have sought an eight year sentence for a female teacher accused of sleeping with a 12-year-old boy.
The highly-publicized case which came into light on August 29th stunned the nation, when details of the married 32-year-old Gyeongnam teacher’s actions came to light.
She was arrested for rape and molestation of a minor under 13 after admitting she had sex with the sixth grade boy nine times in the classroom and her car citing they “were in love”.
The prosecution is also seeking that she wear an electronic anklet for 10 years after release as well as receive counseling.
The trial is set to get underway in the next month.
