A total of 223 earthquakes had occurred here in the county last year, which is 3.8 times more than the annual average.
According to a data released by the Korea Meteorological Administration(KMA), there were 223 earthquakes with a magnitude of above 2.0, and it is 3.8 times more than the annual average of 58.9 earthquakes.
Earthquakes with a magnitude of above 3.0 also occurred 19 more times than the average.
An average of 58.9 earthquakes occurred in South Korea from 1999 to 2016.
