The 9th Gwangdo Light Road Hydrangea Festival will take place on July 5 and 6 along the scenic Gwangdocheon area in Gwangdo-myeon, Tongyeong.
Hosted by the Light and Road Association, this annual festival celebrates the full bloom of hydrangeas lining the stretch from Deokpo Bridge to Nosan Bridge.
Now recognized as one of Tongyeong’s signature summer festivals, the event offers a colorful blend of floral beauty and interactive programming.
This year’s lineup includes a life drawing contest, live busking and congratulatory performances, a flea market, hands-on experience booths, and the sale of hydrangeas and local specialties.
The popular “Dikasi 100-day event” will also return.
During the day, the hydrangea path offers a vibrant floral display, while in the evening it transforms into a softly lit romantic walkway.
Numerous photo zones throughout the area promise visitors a chance to capture lasting memories of their summer outing.
