Namhae-gun’s Mulmi Coastal Observatory will officially reopen on July 9, following two months of interior remodeling and safety inspections conducted by the Namhae County Tourism and Culture Foundation, which oversees its operations.
The observatory, designed in the shape of a lighthouse, offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the southern coastline and the South Sea, and has been newly reimagined as a multi-level cultural space, each floor featuring a unique theme.
-
The first floor includes a promotional and sales area for local Namhae products, alongside interactive ESG-themed exhibits.
-
The second floor features the Cliff Walk, a walkway suspended between the sea and sky, and a café area with drinks served by a robot barista.
-
The third-floor rooftop will operate as an open-air garden café, offering expansive views of the surrounding nature.
The Mulmi Coastal Observatory will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except Tuesdays.
