Hadong-gun is spotlighting a diverse range of unique cafes, restaurants, and experience-based facilities as part of its “Hot Place Designation Project,” an initiative aimed at attracting tourists and revitalizing the local economy.
First launched in 2023, the project identifies locations with strong appeal—particularly those trending on platforms like Instagram and YouTube—and supports their development as tourist attractions. After this year’s open call and field evaluations, 17 locations were selected for 2025: 11 privately run businesses and 6 public-sector sites.
The newly designated private-sector “hot places” include:

Dallae Mansion, a terrace café set in a green tea field

Seolleongseolleong Stay, a pet-friendly pension

Hadong Chalet, a retro-style rural guesthouse

Sosohwagae, a glamping site near Jirisan

Maison de Hadong, a fairy tale-inspired bakery café

Wheat Field, a romantic waffle café using local wheat

Kkochpinunsanggol Cafe, known for cherry blossom views

Hadong Haenggung, a café merging tradition and modern design

Hadong Winery, serving Daebonggam persimmon wine

Bonrae Restaurant, offering healthy cuisine with forest views

Six public-sector spots were also selected, including:

Cafe Donggwang, known for handmade wooden crafts and scenic views

Pyeongsa-ri Land Market Tavern, modeled after a tavern from the novel Land

Narim Ecological Park, honoring novelist Lee Byeong-ju

Cheonghak-dong Cheonjedang and Hadong Traditional Seodang, preserving local heritage

Byeolcheonji-gil in a Goury Bottle, a poetic trail along Hwagaecheon Stream

Duyang-ri Ginkgo Tree, a 900-year-old tree recovering from a recent fire and symbolizing local resilience
The county will continue promoting these spots through both online and offline channels, including SNS, promotional campaigns, and signage. Selected sites may also receive support for upgrades, such as interior design improvements or themed decor, to further enhance the visitor experience.
