Construction of Sinwol Station on the Bujeon–Masan Double-Track Electric Railway is scheduled to begin in August, with administrative procedures progressing smoothly.
Originally proposed by Gimhae in 2017, the 44.6 billion won project is part of a broader Ministry of Land-led railway expansion and has already seen preliminary work completed, including a roadbed and underground passage.
Final construction is moving forward following design revisions and approvals, with Korea Railroad Corporation and developer Smart Rail now in the final review and bidding stages.
