The number of deaths from traffic accidents in Busan last year, have dropped significantly, recording the lowest number of deaths in the history of Busan.
According to the Busan police agency, the number of deaths from traffic accidents in Busan last year was 185 people, which has been decreased by 20 percent from 2013 of 232 deaths. Busan has ranked #1 in the reduction rate of deaths from traffic accidents.
The Busan police agency has strengthened the drunk driving control last year, and has reported more than 4,000 cases and has exposed overloaded vehicles more than 6 times compared to the previous year. It was analyzed that the active control policy, such as controlling drunk driving and overloaded vehicles have reduced the number of deaths from traffic accidents.
