A truck trailer collision caused a temporary closure of the undersea tunnel on the Geoga Bridge, which connects Gadeokdo Island in Gangseo-gu to Geoje-si in Gyeongnam Province.
According to the Busan Gangseo Police Station, the accident occurred around 12:30 pm on the 4th, when a trailer crashed into the outer wall of the Geoje-bound section of the tunnel.
Due to the crash, authorities closed the Geoje-bound lane of the tunnel, and it remained inaccessible until 6:00 pm as cleanup and safety inspections were conducted.
No information has yet been released about injuries or the cause of the accident.
