With the heavy rains now passed, the intense summer heat is making a strong comeback across Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, according to the Busan Meteorological Agency.
Starting today, perceived temperatures are expected to rise to 33–35°C, especially in inland areas of Gyeongnam, where a heat wave warning may be issued.
Daytime highs on the 20th are forecast at 31°C in Busan, 32°C in Ulsan, and 31–34°C in Gyeongnam, as much as 10 degrees higher than the previous day and above seasonal norms.
The heat will persist into the 21st, with similar daytime highs: 31°C in Busan, 32°C in Ulsan, and 30–35°C in Gyeongnam.
Tropical nights are also expected with low temperatures only reaching 26°C.
As humidity levels remain high, perceived temperatures will quickly climb again, keeping conditions hot and uncomfortable, especially in areas affected by lingering moisture.
Analysts also noted that tropical disturbances may develop near the Philippine Sea around July 27, potentially evolving into typhoons if conditions align.
