Starting June 1, young travelers will be able to explore Korea’s coastal regions at a significantly reduced cost with the launch of the “Badaro” discount ticket program.
Announced by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the program offers up to 50% off weekday fares and up to 29% off on weekends for passengers under the age of 35, regardless of nationality.
The ticket grants access to 51 participating coastal passenger ships nationwide through May 31, 2026.
In the Gyeongnam region alone, 17 routes—including Junghwa-Yokji and Tongyeong-Hansan—are included. Each user can travel up to 12 times using the discount.
For travelers under 24, a special “family ticket” option allows up to five people to travel together. However, the ticket cannot be used during high-traffic periods, such as holidays.
