Nestled amongst the trees surrounding the Park Hyatt in Busan, ‘Cabinet’ brings a lovely fine dining experience to Busan.
The two story restaurant provides a lovely atmosphere for whatever dining occasion you are looking for — a romantic date, a business meeting or a casual meal with friends.
I went with a friend for a late lunch and had no problem to find a seat. We were offered three kinds of lunch sets to choose from which change monthly.
The three course lunch ranged from 25,000 won to 53,000 won, and included samples off their regular menu, which included pastas, steaks, pilafs or fish.

We opted to order from the dinner menu instead, or the “seasonal course”, which consisted of a 5-course meal.
Though the portions do come out small as in most fine dining establishments, the quality and presentation of the food was fantastic. Our server also introduced the food in Korean and in English to my foreign guest.
Our meal consisted of three courses before the main — a delightful grilled cuttlefish with seafood squirt carpaccio, a lovely lotus root soup with Chamnamul and Jamon, and a chicken and asparagus risotto that was very delicious.
Our mains — a dry aged striploin steak and a three steak sampler which included tenderloin and two types of striploin, were cooked to perfection and perfectly matched the homemade horseradish which accompanied the meal.
The passionfruit tartelette for dessert was lovely with our accompanying choice or coffee and tea to finish our lunch.

Cabinet has received accolades from local and international guests for their service and quality of food for years, and it is definitely a place to consider if you’re looking to spend a little more for quality food and a nice dining experience.
It also has an extensive wine menu — over 130 to choose from, including a house red and white if you’re looking to have just a glass.
Stella beer on tap and soft drinks are also available.
Parking is also available on the first floor of the I’Park apartment complex.
