The second round of pre-registration for the 2025 Han River Triathlon Festival has opened, allowing an additional 5,000 participants to secure their spots.
Seoul City announced that registration will be available from January 8 at 2 p.m. until January 31 at 6 p.m.
Set to take place at Ttukseom Hangang Park from May 30 to June 1, the event offers a unique triathlon experience where participants can complete the course at their own pace over three days.
The competition includes swimming, cycling, and running, with two course options: a beginner course (300m swim, 10km cycle, 5km run) and an advanced course (1km swim, 20km cycle, 10km run).
Interest in this year’s event has been particularly high, with the first round of pre-registration for domestic participants selling out in a single day. Many applicants preferred weekend morning time slots between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Participants who sign up during the second pre-registration period will receive several benefits, including a 20% discount on the entry fee, health supplements and energy drinks sponsored by Jeong Kwan Jang and Red Bull, and exclusive event merchandise. Additionally, all participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt provided by Black Yak and UV protection sheets sponsored by Franz.
Domestic participants can register through the Seoul Sports Association website (www.seoulsports.or.kr) under the citizen participation program menu.
Registration opened from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on January 8 and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays thereafter.
Foreign participants can sign up at Interpark Triple (triple.global) at any time until the 500 allocated spots are filled.
To enhance the participant experience, the event will feature expanded locker rooms, showers, and storage facilities. Additional activities such as water tug-of-war and Han River kayaking will also be available before and after the races.
