Busan BNK clinched its first-ever Women’s Korean Basketball League (WKBL) championship with a dramatic 55-54 win over Woori Bank in Game 3 of the 2024–2025 finals, held at Sajik Gymnasium on March 20.
The victory was sealed by Park Hye-jin’s clutch three-pointer with just 18.4 seconds remaining.
Trailing by two in the final moments, BNK’s Park calmly sank the shot from a 45-degree angle, sending the home crowd into a frenzy and delivering the team’s maiden title since its founding in 2019.
It also marked the first time a Busan-based professional team celebrated a championship at home.
The win capped BNK’s turnaround from last place the previous season and avenged their 2022–2023 sweep loss to Woori Bank.
