Ulsan HD Prepare For FIFA 2025 Club World Cup

Ulsan HD are competing in the FIFA 2025 Club World Cup this summer, playing against Brazil’s Fluminense, South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns and Germany’s Borussia Dortmund.

The Club World Cup has a prize fund worth $1 billion, which is even more than the Qatar World Cup, but it is not distributed evenly – big clubs in Europe get more money, and teams that progress further through the tournament get more money.

Ulsan HD President Kim Kwang-kug told RG that said “I’m satisfied with the prize money,” and that “the differences between each continent is reasonable.”

He said “Actually the prize money for a winning club is lower than expected, but many participant clubs can get benefits from it. Winning a game in the group stage is also meaningful whether or not we make it to the round of 16 and further.”

He added that the way the prize fund is distributed could “induce fierce competition between each club” despite objective differences in level.

Ulsan HD Club World Cup fixtures:

    Mamelodi Sundowns: 6 p.m. local time, June 17 in Orlando ( 7 p.m. June 18 KST)

    Fluminense: 6 p.m. local time, June 21 in New Jersey ( 7 p.m., June 22 KST)

    Borussia Dortmund: 3 p.m.local time, June 25 in Cincinnati (4 p.m., June 26 KST)
