Busan to Host 2025 Super Cup International Yacht Race from April 24 to 27

Busan will host the 2025 Busan Super Cup International Yacht Race from April 24 to 27 at the Suyeong Bay Yacht Stadium, with 34 teams from 10 countries and approximately 280 participants competing in one of Korea’s most prominent cruiser yacht events. This year marks the event’s 20th edition.

Organized by the Busan Metropolitan City Yacht Association and supported by Busan City, the event aims to strengthen the city’s identity as a global marine leisure tourism hub and promote the popularization of yacht culture.

The official races will take place over three days, from April 25 to 27, following registration on April 24. A ceremonial sea parade and team departure ceremony will be held on April 25 at 11:30 a.m. to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the race.

Several public-friendly side events are also planned. An observation deck for spectators will be operated, allowing citizens to watch the races up close. Additional events include commemorative t-shirt making and an eco-friendly initiative offering drinks to those who bring reusable cups.

Those interested in participating in side events can apply via the race’s official Instagram page (@busansupercup). Observation deck access will be granted to 130 people through a lottery system, based on supportive comments left on designated Instagram posts. Four viewing sessions will be held over the three days of racing.
