The Visit Korea Committee has announced the Korea Grand Sale aimed at foreign tourists will begin today and run through October 31st. Some 250 companies and 30-thousand stores including hotels, duty free shops, large retailers and airlines will take part in the event.
Airlines will offer discounted airfare while the national railroad operator, KORAIL, will provide a 50 percent discount on train tickets for certain routes on the high speed KTX.
Other events will also take place on the sidelines to introduce Korean cultural content and traditional arts.
