The 2025 Korea Grand Sale, South Korea’s largest shopping and tourism festival, is underway and will run until February 28.
A record 1,680 companies, including airlines, accommodations, retailers, and service providers, are participating to attract foreign tourists and boost tourism consumption during the low season.
This year’s event includes significant discounts across various sectors:
Airlines: Ten domestic airlines, including Korean Air and Asiana Airlines, are offering discounts of up to 94% on 214 routes. International flights to Korea from China, Hong Kong, and Japan via platforms like Trip.com are discounted by up to 31%.
Accommodations: Hotels such as Ibis Styles Ambassador and Mayfield Hotel are offering discounts of up to 19%.
Shopping: Major department stores like Lotte, Shinsegae, and Hyundai, as well as duty-free shops, are offering gift certificates worth up to 1 million won, shopping support funds, and exclusive coupon books. Brands like Musinsa Standard are providing 10% discounts, while Olive Young offers a 20% discount coupon for purchases over 150,000 won at select stores.
The festival also includes 17 experiential events in five regions where visitors can explore K-pop, food, beauty, cultural heritage, and local culture. Exclusive benefits for foreign tourists include a 3,000 won discount via Kakao Mobility’s K-Ride platform and cashback rewards through prepaid cards like Wow Pass. UnionPay users can enjoy 10% instant discounts at over 1,000 stores.
Naver Map provides multi-language support (English, Japanese, Chinese) to help visitors locate participating stores and navigate major shopping districts like Myeongdong.
This year’s Korea Grand Sale aims to offer an enhanced experience for international travelers while promoting South Korea’s tourism and retail industries.
