Busan’s Emerging Designer Brands Take Center Stage at Lotte Department Store Pop-Up

Lotte Department Store is hosting a special pop-up event featuring Busan Fashion Creation Studio’s designer brands, themed “DESIGNER BRANDS; BASED in BUSAN.”

Held at the Aqua Mall on the first floor of the Gwangbok Branch, the event runs from the 18th of this month to the 6th of next month.

The initiative aims to boost sales and expand channels for local designers by showcasing a wide range of products, including clothing and shoes. In addition to retail opportunities, the store will offer fashion consulting and marketing support during the critical start-up phase for new designers.

The pop-up will feature seven designer brands from Busan Fashion Creation Studio alongside seven from the new designer brand edit shop “13PROJECT.” Over 200 seasonal products will be displayed each week, with young designers meeting customers to promote their collections.

Notable brands include “Our” (lingerie), “Illoje” (women’s clothing by Busan-born designer Lee Hyo-won), “LayuLayu” (sophisticated women’s apparel), and “Lee Hyeji” (casual wear blending Eastern and Western influences).

Additionally, Busan-based brands in the online edit shop “Ilsam Project”—such as Mizimiji, D’Semicolon, J.Karen, Evid, and Rubou—will offer a diverse range of unique items, marking a significant leap forward for the region’s fashion scene.
