The “Busan Shoes Sale and Promotional Exhibition” concludes today at the Citizen Square on the second floor of City Hall.
The event, jointly organized with Busan Techno Park and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, is designed to support local shoe companies and promote the Busan footwear industry.
The sale will feature 20 Busan-based shoe brands offering a variety of products such as trekking shoes, sneakers, running shoes, and safety footwear at discounted prices. Participating companies were selected through an open application process, and citizens will have the opportunity to purchase quality products at affordable prices.
Depending on the purchase amount, buyers may also receive free promotional gifts such as cushion slippers.
This event is part of Busan’s broader effort to revitalize its footwear industry, which has been affected by global market slowdowns and economic challenges.
Through the “One Pair for Busan Shoes” campaign, the city encourages citizens to support local businesses by purchasing locally made shoes.
Additional programs will offer interactive experiences for visitors, including gait analysis with free custom insoles, shoe decorating activities, and a photo event with Busan’s mascot Boogi.
