Port Village Busan Returns to North Port Pier with Local Brands and Global Flavor

Busan’s iconic North Port Pier 1, steeped in 100 years of history, will transform into a vibrant coastal market for the second edition of Port Village Busan, running from June 4 to 8.

Inspired by European port towns, the event brings together over 110 teams, including 60 Busan-based F&B brands and 50 lifestyle vendors, on a 4,300-pyeong site, an expanded follow-up to last year’s highly successful Christmas Village Busan in Yeongdo.

Organized by Busan startup Food Travel, the event celebrates Busan’s food culture through an immersive “village” experience, emphasizing gastronomy as a cultural gateway.

Flagship local brands like Haeundae Amso Galbi, Momos Coffee, and One Wave Bread will be joined by emerging favorites like Atelier Sumida, Fruto Fruta, Milgot, and Chicken Burger Club, offering unique food collaborations and regional specialties.

The festival is entirely self-funded by Food Travel, with support from local sponsors.

Organizers aim to position Port Village as a “Taste of Chicago”-style anchor event, one that not only showcases Busan brands globally but also invites global brands to Busan.

Following last year’s Christmas Village, which drew 80,000 visitors and over 9.5 million online impressions, Port Village is expected to surpass that success.

The Korea Tourism Organization’s Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam branch and the Busan Tourism Organization are partnering to attract tourists nationwide and abroad, with promotions linked to Taiwan’s Line Pay to target Taiwanese visitors.
