Just in time for the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics, the South Korean luge team is about to get a German import.
The Korea Luge Federation said today that South Korea plans grant citizenship to German Aileen Frisch, at the recommendation of the Korean Olympic Committee.
An interview with the Justice Ministry is expected to be a final formality before Frisch can join the South Korea’s national luge squad and share her expertise.
Luge is one of three winter Olympic sled sports, along with bobsled and skeleton sled.
