World-Renowned Pianist Steve Barakatt to Hold Free Special Concert at Seoul Museum of History

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of his first visit to Korea, acclaimed Quebec-born pianist and composer Steve Barakatt will perform a free concert for Seoul citizens on June 27 at 8 p.m. in the lobby of the Seoul Museum of History.

The 30-minute performance, held without intermission, commemorates the friendship agreement between Seoul and Quebec and aims to deepen cultural exchange.

The concert is part of Barakatt’s Néoréalité world tour and is being held at the invitation of the Quebec Government Office in Seoul. Advance registration for the event opens on June 23 at 10 a.m. through the museum’s website (museum.seoul.go.kr).

Barakatt, known for blending classical, new age, and jazz elements, will present a setlist featuring tracks from his latest album Néoréalité, beloved pieces like “Flying” and “Rainbow Bridge,” and the UNICEF anthem “Lullaby.” The performance also serves to celebrate Quebec National Day and the strengthening of Seoul–Quebec ties.

The Quebec Government Office in Seoul, established in 1991, promotes ongoing cultural and economic collaboration between the province and Korea.

The Seoul Museum of History is open for evening hours every Friday until 9 p.m., and general admission to exhibits and facilities does not require reservations.
